Part-time Job – The role of a circle leader is a part-time job and is very suitable for those who are free during the day as a large part of the activities are aimed at the elderly and people with disabilities. It is common for our circle leaders to have another main occupation.

The Adult Education Association in Kalmar County is looking for leaders in Västervik who can hold courses in various subjects, examples listed below, but we are also interested in courses in other subjects:

• Various circles/courses aimed at disability rights and elderly care (e.g. painting circles, music circles, felting, etc. aimed at the target group)
• Boating education
• Outdoor life
• Various crafts (e.g. knitting, macramé, silver smithing, woodworking/carving, sewing, glass fusing, painting, etc.)
• Languages and literature
• History
• Health (yoga, pilates, etc.)
• Music/Singing
• Cooking/Baking
• AI/Mobile knowledge/Computer knowledge

Our courses are open to everyone and are flexible in content. We offer courses during the day, in the evenings, and on weekends – you as a leader can influence when the course will be scheduled.

We are primarily looking for someone who:

• Has an interest in sharing their knowledge.
• Has good knowledge of the Swedish language and can therefore teach in Swedish.
• Has experience and solid knowledge in the subject you wish to teach.
• Fluently speaks the language you wish to teach (when applying for language leader)

It is an advantage if you have held courses before, but it is not a requirement as we primarily focus on personal suitability.

What does it mean to be a circle leader at SV Kalmar County?

As a circle leader, you have an important role at SV - you become SV's face to the outside world and your job is to support and inspire the group in the subject you are a circle leader for. You will be one of the group, but you will also have overall responsibility for the course's implementation. Together with the business developer at SV Kalmar County, you will plan the course and create a work plan. You are also responsible for preparing meetings, creating a good group environment, and managing attendance reporting.

To succeed as a circle leader, we also offer you a leadership training that provides you with basic knowledge in areas such as group dynamics, pedagogy, and the art of leading a group without being a boss.

The position is a part-time employment and hourly wages apply. It is common for our leaders to have another source of income.
